Yes. Every visitor gets a free daily allowance with no signup required, and creating a free account increases that daily allowance. Paid plans add every premium writing mode, every language, and a much larger allowance.
Tokens are what a run costs. Longer text uses more of them, so your allowance stretches further on short passages than on long ones.
